Field Trips
AGCC 2018 is an ideal opportunity for delegates to explore the fascinating geology of South Australia and beyond. A range of pre-, syn- and post-Convention field trips will cover different aspects of the Geosciences. A description of each tour, its duration and costs are provided in the table below, together with the minimum required number of participants for each field trip to go ahead.
Please note the following:
- All field trips will operate with the required minimum number of people and on designated dates only
- Full pre-payment in advance is required
- As the availability and schedule of the suppliers cannot be guaranteed, the organisers reserve the right to change the proposed list
Important information about Field Trips
- Bookings for field trips including accommodation closed on 14 August 2018.
- Bookings for field trips that do not include accommodation closed on 21 September 2018.
- If you have not yet registered as a delegate to attend AGCC 2018, you can book your field trip/s when you register .
- If you have already registered to attend AGCC 2018, you will receive an email containing a link which will enable you to add field trips to your existing registration.
- Registration for field trips is also open to non-delegates. If you are not attending AGCC 2018, but would like to take part on a field trip, please register using the specific button at the end of this page.
- Places on field trips are limited. All field trips are subject to achieving viable numbers to proceed. In the event a field trip is cancelled by the organisers, any field trip fees paid at time of cancellation will be refunded in full.
- Cancellations: For field trips involving accommodation, cancellations received by 14 August 2018 will be refunded but will incur a cancellation fee of AU$150 (+ 10% GST). No refunds will be available for cancellations received after 14 August 2018. No refunds are available for cancellations of field trips not involving accommodation.
- Insurance: All field trip participants must organise their own insurance to cover risks including (but not limited to) injury, medical, death, property and travel costs.
All costs quoted are in Australian Dollars (AU$) and include 10% GST.
